Create content for yourself.

Let me convince you to start learning in public and share content on Twitter

Why creating content can help you as a developer?

Happy weekend friend, I hope you are doing fine, in this issue, let’s drift away a bit from coding and talk about content creation and how it can change your life in just a year!

The average content creator in today’s digital economy earns $70,000 on average, yup that’s right, and some people, even earn millions.

But what does it have to do with us, developers? Let me tell you a quick story of mine, which may answer this question in a subtle way 👇️

My Story

A year ago, if someone would tell the younger version of me that I will be writing a newsletter that you read on every Sunday morning and I got an audience of 7000 friends on Twitter, I would not believe you!

But here we are, and I am glad I took the decision of starting to learn in public and start creating content on social media.

Since then, I have:

  • Made amazing friends

  • Hopped on calls with startup founders

  • Progressed in development

  • Made my first $ online

  • Mentored people on calls

———————————————————————————

But this isn’t unusual, 100s of people are doing this, that is why I am preaching to you the idea of growing and building in public, whatever it is that you are working on.

“Stop being afraid of what could go wrong, and start being excited about what could go right.”

Started development? Join #100daysOfCode and connect with people

Started building an app? Share your progress in public

Want to build an audience? Start creating content around your niche

It’s that simple.

What value does it give you?

Honestly, there are 100s of benefits of growing an audience on Twitter and building in public, but I am not the growth guru to preach you all the info, I am here to guide you and become the best possible version of yourself.

The best benefit it brings is the variety of opportunities you can gear up and grab for the future.

From freelancing to digital products and remote jobs.

The pros are limitless, it’s up to you how to leverage it to the fullest.

How and where to start?

You can do what I did, start with #100daysOfCode and share what you are learning in the initial days, connect with some people in your niche, and make friends.

/=* I have made so many good friends for life, because of Twitter, but you always start small.

Believe me, tech Twitter is one of the most helpful and welcoming communities, you will never feel left out here, NEVER!

And then, start tweeting about some topics that revolve around your topic.

But, that is a topic for another day, I would love to tell you more about growing an audience, building a following and so many more things…

Sorry for leaving things with an itch in your mind about the same, but believe me, you DO NOT need to go on full creator mode and start sharing 100 AI tools that will give you superpower (pun intended).

But instead, start small, create a post, engage with some people, and see how it feels, and then….

I will see you next Sunday, the same time, I hope I sparked you with curiosity and made you take the first step to content creation.

For some rewind, check out the photo I posted on Twitter today, about a beautiful place I visited a while ago 😉 , see you next time
