A system to set you up for future learning

READ TIME: 3 MINUTES

Welcome to a new issue, the real value-packed stuff is just getting started now, I have so many things to share with you, this is just the beginning.

By the end of this email, you will have a system to learn any topic in Coding, and progress as a beginner, you will need NOTHING after this, let’s go:

What is the 3×3 Matrix?

What 99% of people when starting to learn something do:

  • Watch tutorials

  • Try to code themselves

  • Get stuck

  • Back to step 1

Or worse…

Just keep learning and never do anything themselves.

But my friend, I don’t want you to fall for this trap and get stuck in a vicious cycle of learning, learning, and learning.

There is a way to get out of this, which I learned and invented from experimenting over almost a year now, what is it? This 3×3 Matrix, which will change the game for you, and the way you learn:

Tried my best to draw this

Let me explain it to you quickly, so you can start your learning asap:

The concept:

There are 3 rows, and 3 columns in the matrix, Rows have docs, tutorials and coding on your own. Columns have Levels 1, 2, and 3.

How to use it?

  • At Level 1, you start by reading the basics of a new concept you want to learn by reading the docs itself, once done, tick it off.

  • Then, you move to the tutorial part, watch a vid on youtube, and try to understand the syntax of the concept and how to use it in your projects. Done? Tick it off.

  • Finally, you have to code a mini-project and see how you can implement it without watching any tutorial, this will help you grasp the topic completely. Done? You know what to do.

This is what your matrix should look like now:

What are Levels?

Nothing but stages of your learning, once you have ticked off all the 3 rows in Level 1, you now move to Level 2 to read more about the concept in detail and gain an understanding of its core purpose.

A level is basically the complexity of your learning.

  • Level 1: Basics

  • Level 2: Some core concepts and get confident

  • Level 3: Understand the application and complete the learning process.

By the end of this method, you would have ticked off every square and completed the concept, how simple and straightforward was that?

That is the exact goal, don’t overcomplicate things, keep it simple and see yourself progress.

Well, that was all for today’s issue, I think you got the idea behind it, feel free to alter it accordingly and experiment to see what works.

I will see you next week, with the same energy, learning, and growing every day, meanwhile, do give me your feedback and DM me if you haven’t already!

If you got any questions regarding this method or a simple doubt…

I would love to connect and chat with you, let’s have a conversation:

Bye for today, see you later.
